What I am hoping to achieve is the ability to run a GNU Linux in place of the standard operating system. So it is safe to assume that the system is as capable as any computer, probably similar in power to a Raspberry Pi and possibly running an ARM architecture. We also know that the system is updated via USB installer. The availability of documentation relating to this is severely lacking.
The use of Flash explains a lot of the unresponsiveness. What we know is that our system is a Microsoft and flash based interface. The 8 inch systems seem to be updated more frequently. It is my understanding that the FiST is the only car to come with the 6.5 inch screen so far. Can we get a discussion going for the MyFordTouch and Sync systems? I'm having some gripes about features on the stock setup.
